THIS IS A HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR????????????? Very pure and sweet performance, tempo feeling all right on.....best of all, they seem to understand the melancholy felt by Gibbons when he wrote this, not about a swan but about the times in which he lived, the ending of a glorious era.

Extra comment from my side
If you listen to The Silver Swan you have to imagine a title gentle floating river and this more bumpy ride. It goes one and one, no breaks, no starting engine again as in this one.
I am not saying its totally crap, but this is not the right interpretation.

@ dutchmen1002. Thank you for the reaction. Are we going to talk about mij English or shall we just talk about the music. My father choral director himself has a total different view on how it has to be "attacked" and i agree with him.I am sorry. I feel almost nothing by listening to this performance. I love this beautiful miniature if it's done well. Why does the conductor pause at 0.34?????????? There is no stop indicated. Listen to Hilliard.

@JesseMN1980 I think youre right. But the tempi are done quite well, but the single voices are too weak.

We massacred that song at school!

I don't know why, but I think this one was much better than JS D:
First comment way off base. Very nice performance. Great sound from a HS choir. Perfect speed. This song isn't meant to be messed with. Straight and simple. For a HS group this was very nice. Jesse...whoever made the first comment about weak performance was wrong. Speed and tempo..great. I imagine there was no diction problems at the live performance. This recording is not that great Jesse and that is why you think the diction is poor. Now, just learn how to spell and you will be OK.
