World's Worst Driver arrested

A Toronto woman whose parking job outside a fitness centre became a YouTube hit has pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to report the collision.

-------- of Richmond Hill was arrested in October after surveillance footage of her unfortunate park job at Extreme Fitness in Markham was handed over to the police.

On Oct. 22, at around 11 a.m., she drove her dark blue BMW SUV into the parking lot. While trying to park opposite two vehicles, she drove her SUV over the hood area of a blue Hyundai Elantra and a Silver Dodge Neon, police say. The 62-year-old woman then fled the scene without reporting the crash. The owners of the other two vehicles returned later to find their cars smashed up beneath the front wheels of the SUV.

Almost a week later, on Oct. 28, one of the victims told police he thought he saw the suspect that hit his car return to the parking lot. A subsequent investigation, boosted by the surveillance footage, led to Ms. Kaushal's arrest.

She appeared before Justice ------ in a Newmarket courtroom Tuesday with her guilty plea. She was given a $500 fine and ordered to pay restitution to the two victims whose vehicles were damaged. She was also given six months probation and a driving prohibition between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
