really enjoy your video lessons. The idea of pulling the butt of the club down has really helped me to stop casting.. Thanks

Thanks for all of your tips. I'm finding them VERY helpful. At some point it would be fantastic if you could do a piece or two on long irons. I suspect they share a few similarities with the driver and 3 wood in terms of setup and swing plane but it would be nice to get your take on it. All the best! -Marc

I'm 14 years old and it was my second time playing golf, and my best drive was the ball went 198 yards, and the speed was 126 mph, is that good, average or bad for my level of experience?

Loved this video....BTW...at the top of the backswing should I push off with the ball of the right foot...or initiate the fwd swing with the left hip

Very helpful video. Hopefully this will help me get off the tee!
I'm really pleased you're ennjoying my videos. Yes the idea of pulling on the butt end of the club is an old idea but a good one. It simplifies the downswing transition and generates more efficient power and accuracy. Thanks for taking to time to write a comment and good luck with it.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Marc, it's great that you are enjoying the golf lessons.
I will put together an instruction video on long irons although I'm not sure how many golfers actually carry them any more.
It seems that hybrids have taken over; it's good to read that some golfers are still using them.
One of my favourite clubs in my bag when I played golf competitively was a 1 iron so I have good memories of them.
Good luck with the ongoing development of your game Marc.

Wow you have some serious clubhead speed, it sounds like you are an athlete.
198 yards is very good for someone with so little experience.
The more you reduce the sidespin on your shots and hit it out of the sweet-spot the farther it will go.
Now would be a good time to find a very competent PGA or LPGA golf teaching professional and take regular lessons to develop your skill.
By 18 years old you could be playing to a very high standard.
Good Luck and thanks for commenting.

Thanks for your excellent question.
In my opinion I would suggest that you push off with your right foot to move your left hip slightly toward the target before the left hip rotates to the left.
This sequence is common amongst the top golfers and makes the most sense as you use the grounds resistance to generate a powerful right foot shift.
I hope this answers your question and again thank you for taking the time to comment.

Hi Boston George, thanks for your question, I'm led to believe that it's a Taylor Made R7 Limited with an X Flex Fujikura 'Speeder.' Like you I love the old pear shape look of the old persimmon heads. Although the head is much larger '440 cc' than the old clubs, it's nice to see that the classic shape hasn't changed. Thanks again for your comments, I really appreciate it.
