@fastabulus YOU are factually wrong. women REPORT more often the violence they go through.... use ALL statics with a tad hint of common sense and youd realize that for A MAN to REPORT ABUSE is much MUCH more HUMILIATING.. and nothing is hardly ever done about it when a man is the victim of some womens liberation created side effect.

@GTCism-- you are factually wrong . While ~7% of both genders suffer from domestic violence (in Canada), women suffer it much more often, are more harmed by it, and have much worse long-term consequences (physical, psychological) as a result. In addition, any social scientist will tell you that social phenomena with negative personal impact (on health, reputation, etc) are almost always under-reported.

Seven out of 8 of my family members have been abused sexuall, and/or physically by a "significant other." Not 1 of us reported it. So the statistics are probably a lot higher than reported. We have to start reporting our abuse or it will not stop.
