  • Maryanne Amacher is/was a sonic genius! She composed some pieces in which the tones generated were actually the resonance frequencies of the the tiny bones in the ear which vibrate in the perception of sound. When these pieces are played at sufficient volume, they cause the ear's hearing mechanism to vibrate and it begins to produce sound! It feels really weird but good!

  • Every once in a while strange sounds would come from her house, but it wasn't that bad.

  • it just seems like she had a thing for loudspeakers and experimental electronic music.

  • What do you mean?

  • did you ever sleep :P?

  • Dang this was my next door neighbor...never knew she was so well known.

  • i wold love the live such an experience too :(

  • we are prolly related,my last name is amacher and my family is from switzerland/norway
