Both Ritcher and Helten r ranked in the top 8, for the 100 metre sprinters in the world in 1975, as is Andrea Lynch of Britian and Irena Szewinsaka. I have the handbook for the Montreal games which show the ranking (1975) for all events to be run at the games.

Ritcher's world ranking in the 100 meters are as follows 7th in 72, 5th in 73, 5th in 74, 4th in 75, 1 in 76, 3 rd in 77, 2nd in 78, 5th in 79 - ;so she hardly improved out of sight for the 76 games !
