"The Neuro-biology of We" - By Daniel Seigal....... most amazing 9 hours of audio I've ever listened to!;p He explains in detail everything he just discussed here.. listen to it!!!

Actually had no idea about 16.26. I think its unnecessary to be ”surprised” that medical students/doctors wanted to separate physics from psychology since, since enlightment period the world has wanted evidence built on facts and what we see. Psychology was of course nothing built on strong evidence you can see, so it has been miscredited for decades. He shouldnt take points on doctors, since vision into the brain is NEW knowledge and psychology gets into neurology not until now

Appreciating that TEDx provided a succinct resume for Dr. Daniel Siegel: a Child Psychiatrist,Educator,Author of Mindsight,The Mindful Brain,Parenting from the Inside Out,The Developing Mind;Founding Editor-Norton Professional Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology;Co-Director UCLA
Mindful Awareness Research Center;and Executive Director of the Mindsight Institute.
-
Now...Let's reflect upon who Dr. Siegel is and his level of dedication as indicated in the TEDx credentials: explores the neural mechanisms beneath social and emotional intelligence and how these can be cultivated through reflective practices that focus on the inner nature of the mind.

before reading Dr. Siegel's micro-bio, just watch or listen to this TEDx presentation. Though about our 6 year old son and how our family is living on the Autism Spectrum.

Enjoyed taking in the AUDIO initial then the VISUAL of this TEDx video. Try simply listening without watching Dr. Siegel. Then, when he asks us to watch to reflect on our reaction to him, then look at the video screen. Sharing on EnjoyHi5Autism micro-blogs.

Thanks for posting this excellent, important talk! I love Daniel Siegel's work, and this talk is a great overview. I'd love to hear him talk further about whether any schools are dealing with the other three R's, and what parents can do to help their children develop more mindsight.
