I have a real Dobro, no the strings are not too high to play in a normalfashion. There is a difference in a roundneck and squareneck Dobro. Squareneck is strung high and played across the lap, a roundneck can be played with a slide or as a regular acoustic but it is no less a Dobro.

dont worry about how expensive the guitar is mate, the dobro i used cost me about £250, it doesnt make it any less bluesy, in fact playing something is more bluesy if anything :P
i've got some videos of delta blues slide licks that i've done on my profile if want to give some stuff a try :D

great sounds bro. just one question? is that not just a resonator guitar? theres a difference in string heighth, tuning and other small things. I could be wrong, but in another video i saw you play it without a slide and a REAL dobro has such a high string heighth its unplayable without slide. It seems like yours is just a resonator guitar, a completely different beast. Regardless of all that, it SOUND KILLER!

Hey Mojo, first many thanks for sharing your talent and enthusiasm with us on YouTube! As a struggling slide player, I'd really like to see a bit more of your "three chord" treatment for some dobro licks!
