  • did all the steps but no luck.. can't get in onmy windows pc. any sugestions?

  • @thejking try checking the firewalls on the Windows PC and the Suse PC... if they're on, try turning them off..

    OR

check the IP address information, checking to see if they are both on the same network.

  • thankyou man now i can finish my project !

  • @dutchygamers no problem :)

    glad it helps.

  • on windows xp what ip i need to write?

  • @yipiyayoyu

u need to write the IP address of the server... open yast and go to network settings. and what ever ip address u have statically assigned, is the address you type into run in windows XP. (06:00 in, to see what ip you have set.) OR, open a new terminal (right mouse click on the desktop of OpenSUSE, and select open in terminal) and type: ifconfig

That will display all the IP addressing information for the machine.

    Hope that this has helped.

  • Thank you for taking the time to post this Video.

  • Thanks for this! Very helpful.

  • I watched you video, it is well done. You did cover setting up a file server from scratch which has not been covered in other videos. The only thing I would add is adding users to file shares other than great video.

    Cheers!

  • @RunningLemonStudios your more than welcome.

lol, u get that with these sorts of things.. the best way i found was to keep at it.. practice makes perfect.
