Annie Leibovitz is the photographer. The woman in this video is Fran Lebowitz, the writer. By the way, this woman is always right. Fran is 100% spot on about what is going on in this city.

The emptiness that results whenever Fran Leibowitz steps into a room is of such profound effect that I wish MIT physicists would study the phenomenon. This non-writer and shameless self-promoter carries around her own portable Black Hole, from which wit, meaning, intelligence, dedication to any specific cause or even genuine anger cannot escape. Even when she has a microscopic point to make, as here, one is irritated at having to separate the point from her endless self-congratulation.

glad to hear Lebowitz go after Bloomberg. His recent press conference downplaying Sandy on Sat. night was a serious mistake that, instead of putting City on alert, panned the storm right when there was still time to make some invaluable decisions.

Looking forward to hearing what she has to say about Storm and aftermath.
