  • Nothing more beautiful, expressive or intimate! Great job! My dance training has led me here and I hope I can learn & partake.

  • There are many forms of communication going on here, some obvious and some subtle and fine tuned. Personally I prefer this heart opening experience to the silliness that modern medicine offers. This type of work is prophylactic, spiritually and physically, in my opinion, rather then an accident waiting to happen. And for the record, these guys are advanced -- you don't just hop up and start doing this as a novice without a spotter and other foundation work.

  • "And I believe there are safer and more effective ways to achieve both."

And please share! always looking for knew ways to do both =D

  • @SwaveWorm This is starting to be silly. You are being given the time of day because you're connecting with people that are specifically developing their bodies, and thus care about your development of your body. Try this with surfing, skating, figure skating, bmx, hockey, wrestling, or football & youll be laughed at. The difference with this activity is both participants have a focus of keeping eachother healthy, while this is not the case in many of these other sports. Why do we have a spine?

  • @wanderlei169 You say that the risk outweighs the benefits yet you've only mentioned two, spinal traction and fun. And I believe there are safer and more effective ways to achieve both.

I know you are gonna be thinking of other benefits for this practice, so, I'm just gonna say, "What these people are doing is an accident waiting to happen."

By the way, I'm a nurse and I know a thing or two about the spine. Spinal traction is nowhere near half the reason why we have a spine. Good luck!

  • @SwaveWorm Once again.... have you ever EXPERIENCED traction of the spine? You asked why people do this... if you're worried about falling & hurting yourself, try a pair of inversion boots, or inversion bed... you'll know why people do this. (apart from the fun of balancing=) Sure you can stretch ligaments from OVERUSE of inversion boots, just as you can hurt yourself over extending in any practice at any ability level. People play this because benefits far outweigh risks. Hope that helps =)

  • @wanderlei169 hmm! Traction of the spine... Yup! I knew it!

Yeah right! You might want to learn about other traction of other bones. Long term effects guys. Think about it. I mean, one fall while in a very strange position could overextend your spine, twist a neck, blah blah blah. At first I thought this was ridiculous but now that I know that some people are actually serious about it, I find it troubling. I'm just concerned. That's all!

  • @SwaveWorm are you serious?!?! =O have you ever experienced traction of your spine? Its half the reason you have a spine. Haha

  • Yoga? This is ridiculous. what is the point of all of this?
