@charlesnorte Yes, our 1931 Studebaker type S 1 1/2 ton truck was built in South Bend IN. I believe Studebaker and Pierce Arrow merged around 1930ish.

From Argentina: Who can tell me : a) Those buildings were in Soth Bend (Indiana) b) The fire was intentional or accidental? I make the question because the Studebaker's history that I found don,t tell me about it. Thanks and sorry for my English!

No, this building never had anything to do with Packard. It was purchased by Studebaker in 1910 when they acquired E-M-F Auto and Studebaker manufactured cars there until 1928.

Was this building originally the Packard Automobile plant? Studebacker merged with Packard in the mid 1950's.
