I bought two Motrax Hootaz horns to replace the stock on my Yamaha FZ6. When I went to install them, I realised that seeing as I had to make up a new splitter cable anyway, I might as well keep the stock horn and have that go off as well. So I did. Here is the result. I did a before and after video to show the difference. Full details on this and my other mods at http://www.sangera2.com
p.p.s did you use a relay?

Nope. I can't remember about the GPZ, but my new bike and most others I know of use a relay to trigger the horn anyway. They are not like airhorns etc and don't use much power anyway!

p.s. isn't it it Motrax not Motraz?

Yup. Changed it now.

thanks for posting this. even if they were the same volume, they still sound way better.
I was looking at the stebel nautalis compact, but was worried about reliability problems.
I think I'll give these a go.
haven't been able to find anything stating their dimensions though.

They work fine for years. Smaller than the air horns, although there are two of course! :) Not as loud, but they are instant, unlike the airhorns. They are definitely louder than stock, my camera is rubbish!
