  • Nitrous is not N/A

  • @2009ZR1NiceGuy Right in the article linked.

""...individual runner breathing apparatus replete with an NOS Fogger. It looks like it could be riding atop..."

I'm not saying this isn't a sick motor, but it IS sprayed. And in my opinion not N/A. Yes, you can get 1000 HP all motor, but this isn't that. And 17:1 compression requires serious octane fuel, nothing streetable.

  • to scare away skeptics like you

  • What exactly is the purpose of that?

  • nice setup you have there. SAM just put together a 433ci N/A LSX making 1001! check it out

    /watch?v=vr_gl2cgl1o

  • Still requires less tuning than other forced induction. This thing is prolly spraying 300-400 horses. The rest is all motor, which is still a respectable number but...also a lot of weight.

  • Well, it really depends on how much you spray. If you're going to spray like 400-500HP in nitrous into a engine, like what the fogger kit it looks like they're using does, you'd need to tune it pretty well. You'd definitely need to hook up the nitrous button to a timing advance, because you'd need to advance the timing at least 8 degrees, if not more. Also you'd probably need a progressive controller, which would require at the track tuning to dial it in. Nitrous is easier, but still not perfect

  • They went from 6000-8700 on the dyno pulls. Click the link in the description and go two pages ahead to see the numbers for each.

  • Yeah. Well he wouldn't be spraying on the dyno. Even still, 1000 Horsepower with NOS is a cheap way to claim 1000 Horsepower. There's not much tuning required for NOS, just strengthen everything, upgrade the fuel system, maybe advance timing a bit and there you have it...pure NOS car.

  • If it's a naturally aspirated run, it's probably not running nitrous, seeing as nitrous is a power adder and hence it would not be NA if nitrous was used.

I do wonder how much they're spraying though......
