Shooting squirrels on my feeders.wmv

I got up early and went out in the frost to see if there were any squirrels using my feeders yet. Shooting from within my car because of disablity I managed to get two but then nothing!

I drove around and checked four out of six of my feeders and then went home.

They are a pest. Trying to get rid of them myself from my backyard because they got into my attic and now into the kitchen wall. What kind of gun did you use? I just a got a Daisy Powerline 35 BB airgun...I wonder if that would be enough to kill them...

@BinosaFamilyCircle The rifle is a Daystate Huntsman MKII in .177 calibre. It gives me 774 fps for 11.3 f/lbs of energy. It's not overly powerful but it is really accurate. If there's no wind I can hit a 5p piece most times at 50 yards with it.

The scope is an MTC Mamba Lite 3-12X44 with the SCB reticle

@BinosaFamilyCircle They've caused a lot of house fires by chewing the electric cabling in cottages around the UK once they've gained entry to the roof spaces.

I wouldn’t have thought that your rifle was powerful enough to deal with squirrels effectively. BB guns are usually fairly low-powered affairs. We only have the grey squirrels here, not the bigger fox squirrels, and they are quite hard little creatures to kill unless you get a good brain shot.
