My JLA Universe Chapter 1

In the beginning the Universe was finite and stable. It was a place
of peace and tranquility. There was no death or decay. The many
peoples who populated the worlds believed the Creator had given them
this life as a gift. When residents of one world met with residents of
another it was not for war or conquest for these were foreign concepts
, but only in friendship and the sharing of knowledge. According to
the beliefs of the denizens, these ancient races, was that the Creator
wanted them to seek knowledge and elightenment. This they did, they
became very advanced. But also according to legend, there was one
thing they should not seek. That was the origins of this universe.
There were tales that said if anyone sought this forbidden knowledge,
it would bring sorrow and woe to the Universe, and ultimately the
death of the Universe. But there were some who believed this was false.
They believed if one were to learn the origins of the beginnings, they
would become as powerful as the Creator, himself, and that is why it
was forbidden. A scientist from the planet Oa was one such being.
His name was Krona. He sought this ultimate knowledge and built
a sentient living computer to help him seek it out. In his words, to
see the beginning of all, and to touch the face of the Cosmic(creator).
He had 7 assistants in his endeavor. They were Galan of the planet Taa,
Perio of the planet Helio, Methe of the planet Tia, Tyros of the planet
Birj, Anath of the planet Arcturus, Sabah of the planet Askani, and
Uxas of the planet Koli. They built their machine on the planet Ego.
Krona activated the machine while his compatriots observed. Their
machinations worked well, too well. Massive waves were admitted from
the machine once the veil of time was crossed. Things foreign to the
Universe spilled out. Where once only white magic ruled, black magic
was in abundance. Anti-matter spilled out to match matter, causing a
huge amount of energy causing the universe to bend and splinter, and
expand on a never-ending cycle. Decay and death spilled out. And Evil
came to this "Eden", where before only good filled the residents hearts.
Krona was untouched, perhaps because of being inside the machine,
perhaps because of what he witnessed during the experiment, or perhaps
it was the greatest punishment of all; to be left untouched while he
watched the evils he had unleashed on his universe. The first thing
effected was the greatest of evils, the seven deadly sins, melded with
Krona's friends. Galan was eveloped by Gluttony becoming Galactus!
Perio became the personification of Greed, and became Mongul!
Methe was overcame by Lust, becoming Thanos! Tyros became Envy incarnate,
now known as Terrax! Anath was transformed into a living Sloth, known
as Sphynx, Sabah was overcome by Wrath and deformed into Apocalypse,
and finally Uxas was reborn as Pride, known now as Darkseid! The seven
of them soared into the new Universe to do their evil. But the evil
energies did not stop there. The rest of the population of Ego were
transformed into Demons, and they, too, went out to cause havoc and misery
in this new larger universe. But then even those denizens of the other
planets of the once peaceful universe would suffer. Ten "plauges" came
to these worlds. First vampire creatures attacked, and it is said
before they were done the rivers of the ancients ran red with blood.
Second, an abomination of amphibias creatures overan the populations.
Third, was an infestation of intelligent "worms" that wrecked havoc.
Fourth,was the coming of vicious Predators who hunted and killed the
denizens of the ancient worlds. Fifth was a corrupting disease known
as Eclipso that turned brother against brother. Sixth was a scourge
known as Starro, a parasite that marred and drained the populace.
Seventh were beings of cosmic fire, that rained down and scorched all
they touched. Eighth was a swarm of insectiods that were cruel and
ruthless. Ninth was a Darkness that picked a host on each planet and
corrupted him or her giving her the power to make anything from the
darkness. And after all this suffering came the tenth plauge, a
creature called Doomsday who went to each planet and butchered their
most revered citizen.(There is more, but couldn't fit it here, email me if you want the rest.)

All that comic knowledge is staggering. Weird you put Terrax as one of the seven deadly sins, when he's a whipping boy in Marvel.

Yeah, but I always liked Terrax's look, so I used him. In "my universe" he's a heck of a lot more powerful since he is one of the seven deadly sins, but seeing as how he is the embodiment of envy, he's still kind of whiny even in my vision of him. ; ) Thanks for the kind words, poogas89er!

For the first time those ancients

who had survived gathered and formed a court to judge one of their own.

Never before had there been call for this, and they were not sure

how to punish Krona. Finally they came upon two things, first he would

not be killed, because they thought he had been left unscathed by the

Cosmic as punishment, so that he could live and see what his

recklessness had caused.

Some say these beings came from the new worlds

created by the incident of Krona, others from the beginning time, still

others said they, along with the punishments met upon Krona's friends

and the people of Ego, were punishments by the Cosmic himself, for

Krona breaking the Forbidden Law.

The Celestials are there, but in "my universe" they, like all the characters I have used are quite a bit different. Eternity shows up later, atleast his form, but he, too isn't the character as everyone knows him to be.
