"GOOD TIMES" Episode: "Black Jesus" (1974)
This is from the 1st season of "Good Times" when the show was a lot more smarter and topical and less of JJ's buffoonery. One of my favorites! Subtitles in Spanish/Subtítulos en Español

  • TAKE THAT WHITE ONE DOWN!!!

  • a good show but man Florida must enjoy being poor just so long as her family keeps their vaules in place.. she is a lot like Lamont a goody two shoes. everytime they have a chance to move up in life and make things better for them she shoots it down because it is in her mind "NOT the right way. to do things. she is the lone person who doesn't believe in taking shortcuts.

  • That is a picture of Michelangelo's uncle, LOL!!

  • @delagrazia the way i look at it as a two sided view i agree on ya comment but do you realy think rich people will turn in thier money for health and safty aha aha no way health and safty cant pay your bills on the other hand without health when you die you cant take the money with you so whats a person to do?

  • "Now, thats final, baby!"

  • @buggeazy102or maybe by staying in the street will meet someone imprtnt for his life=soul.maybe a teacher for ex.or maybe he ll have the chance to save someones life from a car accident etc

  • @buggeazy102 .He would have made some ppl happy but wouldnt have served hid highest purpose helping as many more ppl as possible by His example(same way ppl say "what god wishes".So in your example the homeless should try to better his life but if that delays then being gods will, its for a higher purpose that would show up later in life.maybe there is a lesson to be learned .maybe he ll get rich later and he needs this experience to never forget to help other poor [ppl.

  • @buggeazy102 That was to keep people in peace with themselves and it was helpfull coz at difficult times they d try for the best while pleased with what they have ,canalizing energy in anger of not having what they want would be a waste.or asking god something and then get angry they didn get it..Jesus before crucifiction said >may i not pass this ,but not my will but Yours shall be done!(what if He had avoided it in order to marry .and have children and keep teaching

  • @buggeazy102 well technically she is right.any religious charachter like the one she plays would say >Praying is to thank god for what u have not to ask.,But if u were to ask ,would definitely not be for money but for health and staying safe.Because everything is supposedly always in the right place.Thats why bible sais that entering christian life is not reason 2start fighting out of slavery. As each enters so he should be .But if u have the chance to get out then u sure must grab it.

  • Also...speaking of racism.Seems like black ppl (in america)really felt into the trap,Feeling inferior for the color once, now trying to label everything black.Thats just an inferiority complex

Jesus was not black nor white but brown just like Jews were at the time. And if you dont wanna believe fine but if u do believe Jesus was God,why would color matter.?u are not worshipping the man in Jesus but the deity.!God took human form and any would do ,since all people/souls are from god

  • how old is this?only one dollar for the taxi, home?

  • @neosouljazz So true. It is the biggest lie out there that the white Gentiles are it. It is the biggest identity theft ever in a culture.
