Beyond Reality - Project Runway 5 Recap 7/23/08
Last time Jerry was out. Heidi oversees the model selection. Tim tells the designers that their next clients will be their models. They will be designing cocktail dresses for them out of "green" fabric. The models will be buying the fabric at mood. They'll have 30 mins & $75. Designers will have 30 mins to consult & till midnight to finish. There will be no immunity for the winner - instead the winning design will be made & sold on Bluefly.com.
Special guest judge was Natalie Portman. Top/Bottom 6 - Kenley-classy & simple, Wesley-ugly & puckered, Stella-made her model look like she had a belly & felt 80s, Korto-looked like it was inside out & had unflattering flaps, Suede - wove strips into a tapestry for the top - fun dress, Leanne - hot mess - way too much going on.
Stella - in, Winner - Suede, Kenley - in, Korto - in.
Wesley vs Leanne Wesley is out.

I love Korto but her dress on this show was horrid - and she said "I worked SOOO hard!" Uh-oh.

I am in almost complete agreement with you. I kind of liked the dress Stella made, although it did make her model look a little pudgy. I did not think Leanne and Wesley should have been the bottom two. I think Leanne should have been in and let Kotto stand there and hear again how she effed up. Leanne's dress was at least well made. She only needed to edit. Kotto's dress was a disaster, second only to Wesley's inept attempt. (The fact that I'm from Portland, as is Leanne, is beside the point.)

The episode played out perfectly. The right person went home, anyways.

However, I believe Terri had the best design. Her midnight blue dress should be on Bluefly right now.

LOL Wesley's shorts were so horrible!!! And I agree that Stella's outfit wasn't all that great.
