The best part of this game is that you can have the heroes fight and die in any way you choose. Grishnakh could cut down Haldir and Aragorn can kill the Witch-King, to hell with "No man can kill me"! You can even reverse the death sequences: Boromir could shoot down Lurtz instead of the other way around and Ugluk can smash Eomer instead of Eomer spearing him in the chest. Anything's possible in this game!

@arcanyte1 Yes Elrond is an archer as well, he uses both sword and bow, you only don't see it in the movies. And he isn't the high king of the elves, he is the lord of Rivendell. However most elfes which still are in Middle-Earth during the third age fight for Rivendell.

So this one is a Fire Emblem clone and the console version is a FFX clone. A combination of the original source material and the movies. Smart choices on the devs part. This is how you make a licensed game.

If you wanted to compare Good and Evil commanders, which heroes are most alike? Gandalf and Saruman are OBVIOUSLY the opposite ends of the magnet, but is Aragorn more like the Witch-King or the Mouth?

i would say aragorn is more like the Mouth. Both are leaders of their respective nations. in my opinion anyway. but neither mouth or witch king can compare to elrond, cos he's an archer. and a dam good one at that.
