Irshad Manji uploaded a video with her agreeing with O'Reilly on March 21, 2008, so, here is something to remind everyone how objectionable she can be to those she doesn't appear to understand.
Irshad Manji also published a lie about Norman Finkelstien on her website during his battle for tenure at DePaul university saying that Norman Finkelstein sent her an email that joked about the death threats against her.
Irshad Manji is the author of a book called "The Trouble With Islam Today."
Alan Dershowitz reviewed the book saying (sic): "Irshad Manji is a fresh, new and intriguing voice of Islamic reform. This wonderfully written book will surprise you, educate you, even entertain you."
I wonder if he has read Manji's book? Dershowitz hasn't read his own book "The Case For Israel" yet!

and how dare this woman even try to represent Islam or say she is a Muslim. She is not a Muslim, because she openly admits she's a Lesbian. You might as well say your a Muslim who believes in atheism. Its so illogical and stupid. This woman is stupid. All the things they say are "wrong" with Islam are simply the unique aspects of Islam. They say its "wrong" because its different than the other religions.  In other words, its wrong because its not being the same as the other religions, and they want to make Islam integrated and something that is the same. Islam came as something strange, something withdrawn. We will never integrate. There's nothing to fix. These people make me sick

@MissAPierce Read the socialistunity article posted in the video description. Her flagship book is utterly debunked, by an atheist no less. I can't do this for you in the space of a youtube comment. You claim that "she stands on her own". The very point of being a polemical propagandist means you've chosen a side and spout deception. She is essentially used by right-wing bigots use to justify their hate.

@MissAPierce Your point on Martin Luther is hardly a fair one. I would not for a minute put her in the same league or give her the same amount of credibility as he deserves. As to your questions, you grossly over-simplify her stance on Islam. In fact, the question itself is suspect. I'm starting to think you haven't taken my advice and researched her positions.

@redbullion01 I have not read their work but am familiar enough with their premises to know what you mean. I don't see how they have any bearing on Irshad, however. She stand on her own and cites her work from scripture.

@redbullion01 Martin Luther was a Christian who attacked the corrupt Catholic church in all its greed, by saying a ticket to heaven could not be bought. He proselytized Christianity that way, and it worked. And the Constitution does not claim divinity, so it deliberately opens to interpretation.

I have answered your questions, but you have not answered mine. What is wrong with Irshad saying that Islam is not about killing and domination? Her sources aren't bad. I've looked.
