These are my look fors in a good winter jacket to brave the harsh Canadian winter:
1. waterproof/windproof
2. longer jackets are warmer
3. down-filled (The down of birds is a layer of fine feathers found under the tougher exterior feathers.)
4. have a hood
5. tight sleeves
6. high collar/zipper
7. insulated side pockets

Jackets shown:
pink ski jacket- unknown brand
black long parka-TNA parka
black hooded peacoat- The Gap
Black parka- Canadian Spirit
Long grey jacket- Guess

Hope that helped! Goodluck in finding your perfect winter jacket! =)

  • Do you know of any vegan/vegetarian alternatives to down filling?

  • @disabilitree Hmm, I've hear really good things about lulu lemon jackets, they use new technology/fibres instead of down! :)

  • HEY has anyone got the "TNA St. Moritz Short Parka ", I want some reviews to know if I should get it or not?!?

  • @Jillian364 ... I don't know about everywhere else, but I didn't really get any rain where I live until June. Just a hell of a lot of snow. Oh, and Summer didn't even start until late June too because the winter was really bad.
