@balacyclan22 and to them me and you probably sound like bears, it's just the tone of the language, Thais usually use a higher tone/pitch as their "normal tone". But yes they are able to produce very low tones/pitches when needed. Just watch one of those pop songs they love.
Since they tend to "mimic" western music, you can hear a Thai "speaking" with a lower tone, more similar to what we are accustomed. Lol I sound like a freaking professor now...lmao

Wow, learning Thai is so much easier when you know Lao too! Won't my parents be proud. Then I can watch all those Thai movies that my mom watches and know what they're saying.
