Fire Truck Fleet Takeoff

Seeing as how no one was in a rush and no lights/sirens tells me they were heading off to do a training exercise. I'm a firefighter, its not totally uncommon to empty a station. If they are going to do fire evolutions (Training Fires) they will have surrounding fire houses cover their area or in small towns they will have other communities covering their stations/town. Most other trainings the apparatus are available for response where ever they are.

@XxrotorayxX - That's kind of a stupid comment. If all the firefighters are in their trucks, why does it matter if they are not at the station? They can be dispatched and respond from wherever they might be.

@XxrotorayxX Most of the time, units training are still in service and are in their coverage area.

stealth response.

by the looks of it there are rigs from different stations there also.

@KBilt92 alright I'll help set this straight, in my county st least, for a reported house fire, 5 full companies are called on first alarm, along with selected trucks from others, on every fire casll you will have multiple different stations, on every fire call up here, we have an average of 35 fire apparatus (or "trucks") on the scene of a working fire, I say apparatus, cause when you say "Truck" in the fire business, it means "Ladder truck"
you guys would have been fine.

This is eagan Station 1 off of rahn road. Given the date they are probably visiting block parties for national night out and if there was a call they would respond from there. Or they could be going to ABLE which is the fire facility they use to practice putting out fires. Its called ABLE because Apple Valley, Burnsville, Lakeville and Eagan all use this for their probationary firefighters and explorers posts.

that's eagan MINN my friend lives there i am guessing they went and did training when any fire dept dose something like that they have the towns around them standing by for mutual aid to cover the district they are closest to
-
@XxrotorayxX yeah it is if all firefighters go then they are with all equipment and ready to respond from where they are training.
-
@KBilt92 they do, it's called mutual aid

All you people that say this is stupid to empty the station, they went a block down the road for training and only take items off of one truck would you rather have them show up at your house on fire or at a car crash you were just in and not know what the hell to do. This station is 1 off of rahn rd and I see trucks from every other station in this video except for station 3 off of pilot knob. Its not like there gonna go to training and turn off the radios when dispatch calls them out.

@XxrotorayxX - If you mean "angry," hell no. I never let other people's stupidity make me angry. I just enjoy pointing it out.
They might have been moving to another station. Did they come back?

Yeah, they came back. I have no idea exactly where they were going as I have no firefighting knowledge. However, I was told that they were doing a training exercise.

not very smart to empty the station for an exercise

Seems so, but a couple summers ago, a house burned down in my neighborhood, and we had trucks from surrounding cities come too. I'm sure they time these trainings so that there are always fire departments standing by.
