@ Buab22 hello sir, I was wondering on the replacement of the relay, where exactly do you find the same part? Normally when something like this occurs, the whole board ends up being replaced. I love your idea, it means

Hi Bob.
On an Alpine for a KM 650 MAB the Omron relays on it looks charred inside of it's protective glass and has a black dust on the inner plastic top cover.
1. How do you find which component on these boards work WHAT inside the machine? Is it on the back of the board? I will search my "tech-tips" and Hoshizaki manuals online.
2. Did you get the Omron relay at Granger or Radio Shack?
3. This board is not having the compressor kick in acording to Hoshizaki.

Sorry, I don't.
hi one thing iv have noticed on every youtube video i have seen on electronics is that nobody tells you how to find a fault on a circut board they just like in this video tell you how to change a component ... now i have no idea about electronics at all, but i would love to learn as i am a musican and own a few broken down amps but even i am sure that i could take a component out and replace it... its simple .. but finding a fault .............now that take some skill ..

@1darrenknight You are correct sir! I would suggest a good college with an AAS degree for starters, then another 5 years (minimum) field experience.
The video was intended for the refrigeration community, and I was pleased and surprised by the other interest.
I gave you a free appetizer, but you want the whole meal.
Sorry- Baub

is it okay to waterproof with silicone paste circuit board and all components

@KillerCigarette This would be a poor idea. I believe silicone paste would act as insulation on components. Heat retention = component failure.
