@TexasMan77 I think it would be a great beginner bike. I start on a Ninja 250 and got bored really fast. I love my Shadow. Runs good, sounds good and rides smooth as can be. 6'4" - I think you'll want to replace the stock pegs with extensions. Maybe 4"?

how has this shadow been ? what kind of ride is it ? i've been bike shopping for a while now and i think it will be a used , 2005-2009 spirit .

nice bike, i have the same exact bike, going with the sidemount taillight as well, where did you get the sidemount from, what cobra pipes are those, nice sound to them. i was gonna go with vance and hines, but i really like the sound of those.
