So here is the 3B/Turbo combo running in the truck (1979 FJ-40), with the radiator filled with water, a temp gauge temporarily hooked up, and the Power Steering system in place.
The Power Steering is a 60 series land cruiser box, with a Toyota PS pump attached to the engine on a bracket that I fabricated, and the PS fluid running through lines I fabricated. Since I'm holding the camera, while turning the wheel, you can see how nice and easy this PS setup seems.
At the end you hear the horn. That's my low oil pressure warning. I'm using the EDIC oil pressure sender and just using it to beep the horn when the oil pressure is low, which is why you hear it after I shut the engine down.
Also at the end you can hear my goofy voice, so you get a better idea of how loud the 3B is. It's MAYBE louder than the 2F. Maybe. But the 2F doesn't whine like this one, nor will a 2F come close to the miles-per-gallon that this truck should have shortly. ;)
awesome but what exhaust manifold did you use bud ?

Not sure. The one that was on it with the Safari Turbo. ;) The turbo kit was installed in Australia before we got the engine, so I really don't know.

Thanks bud! The video does a good job capturing the sound. But it's still better in person. ;)
I'm *really* hoping to be able to preserve that sound when we put the full exhaust on one of these days.
