This is how to upgrade the ram from the stock 1gb to 2gb using the following:

- Source: http://www.crucial.com/store/ListParts.aspx?model=HP%20Mini%20110

- RAM TYPE: DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 PC2-6400 with a maximum of 2GB (only 1 stick slot meaning you must buy one 2gb stick not two 1gb sticks)

Search in ebay each type of ram mentioned above (both the same) to find better prices as they will vary depending on availability in ebay or any website.

TOOLS: YOU WILL NEED ONE SMALL PHILLIPS SCREW DRIVER

  • Thank you so much for this! I ordered a 2Gb stick for my Compaq Mini CQ10-500SA (again, pretty much the same machine, though mine doesn't have a SIM slot), and was lost once I took the battery cover off. I tried pulling on the orange tab, but was afraid I was going to break something if I forced it. So thanks lots for the video showing exactly how it's done :)

  • Hey, thanks for the video! I didn't know what that orange tab was for, and I'm actually technically inclined.

  • Thank you for the windows key! :p
