Abortion is LEGAL in the United States. A woman's right to choose is an absolute RIGHT and if she chooses to terminate a pregnancy she can do so LEGALLY. The continuous assault by the GOP to undermine abortion rights for women is ridiculous. Even though this country is facing a huge unemployment crisis, the GOP's number one legislative priority appears to be trying to control the uterus of every female in America. Unreal. Continue to preach the truth, Leader Pelosi.

@RosalynTs just because somethings legal it doesn't make it right. Bottom line, keep things in perspective.Not everything that is available for us to do is the right thing to do. It is destructive and another form of genocide that people aren't paying any attention to because they are not seeing the long term affects of ending generations of population. Put some thought into what the long term affects of these bills will have on humanity.

@0009asb Ok, and that is your OPINION and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Everyone is also entitled to do with their own body as they see fit. What a woman does with her own body is not your or my business but hers and hers alone. The government should not be involved in the decision making process in any way, they play no part in it. What is it about this bill you support? There is already legislation passed that makes using federal funding for abortions illegal.

@mferguson1281 I do know what abortion is. its sick and twisted and killing innocent lives that were not asked to be brought into this world. i agree wholeheartdly with this bill. morally, why should a doctor do something he's against? the only time abortion should EVER be considered is when the BABY poses a significant health risk to mom.I"m talking life or death situation. teeneagers for certain and some women do use abortion as birthcontrol. its wrong.

@mferguson1281 Thanks 4 your thoughtful & civil reply. The abortion debate is a separate issue. The issue is whether this legislation will prevent legal abortions or result in deaths/health risks of pregnant women due to ERDs, and whether current HC prohibitions on federal funding of abortions allow private medical firms to decline emergency abortion procedures, violating EMTALA. Emergency abortions are usually subject to a medical review, & aren't like emergency gun-shot wounds, etc..
