  • @chuckmastazero I can dig that.

I think that's called synesthesia by the way, where you hear a sound and it makes you visualise a colour, or you see a picture and it makes you hear a certain sound or something. Apparently it's kind of rare.

  • @acrobaticaromatic well...i mean yeah its a dumb name, and i'm not trying to label anything. Just makes me that happy when i hear them. However, i believe you can describe "sound. I put it in terms of color myself (Fang Island happens to be bright colors to me) and i'm sure everyone is different from me. No-one else would see it the same way you or I.

Its all personal perception. Some will get it, some won't.

  • @ogmanofsteel HIGH FIVERS!

  • @chuckmastazero Plus, it's all relative and subjective. I know people that if i said "check out this band they're awesome they're really good metal" or "this band does awesome dub music" or "this is the best prog band ive ever heard" they wouldn't listen because they don't like those types of music, but if they just listened to the bands they might not sound anything like their definitions of prog or metal or dub.

Words are just utterly inept for describing sound.

  • @chuckmastazero They make me smile from ear to ear too, but that's a retarded name. You can't label music. The only words that work when you're describing music are 'i get it' or 'i dont get it'. Because all true music that comes from the heart is good, whether you enjoy listening to it or not. All you can is you get it or you don't. Music that is made just for money or to appeal to the masses or record companies isn't real music, it's something else. A waste of time really.

  • i call them smile core...why? because every time i listen to fang island i smile.

  • Ugh I love show's like that... so gorgeous.

  • high five man!
