  • does anybody else notice that as the movie progresses, lydia becomes more comfortable in her own skin and stops professing and bemoaning her differeneces from those around her? we go from the girl who hates everyone and wants to be dead to the girl who seems pretty happy and loves the people around her.

and personally, im very happy for her, despite knowing shes a fictional character.

  • hehehe I love Lydia!! she is so cute ^^

  • She is Winona ♥♥♥

  • @AlwaysRandomGirl247L: Hence why she befriends them, Beetlejuice included (especially given the scrapped sequel that might make its final arrival or the cartoon series released a year following the film).

  • God shes so cute and also shes Goth !!! im in love with lydia lol

  • My mom named me after this character, and I just happened to develop a similar fashion sense. I don't think you can be named Lydia and not be somewhat weird, haha. But it also led to this being one of my favorite moviees ever. :)

  • Lydia is such an awesome character!

and Winona Ryder was sooo cuuute in the movie...

  • @TempleOfInanna2 The etymology of that word is particularly disturbing... the bundles of wood to which it originally referred were used to get a fire going, and they started applying the term to us during a time when we were routinely burned without fanfare just before people accused of witchery... they were essentially calling us kindling.

  • @gapreg Yeah, there have always been dark minded individuals with interests or tastes outside of the "norm". Emo or gothic is just a recent, modern word to describe these people. Same way "faggot" started being used to describe homosexuals in the 19th century. It used to mean a bundle of wood, or a cranky old woman.

  • I love her!

  • i had such a crush on her when i was little and now ive grown up i know why she is too cute :D <3

  • soo cute 0:03
