The Sealing of The Neuro's Time Capsule

As part of The Neuro's 75th anniversary celebrations the public were invited to the sealing of a time capsule to be discovered in 2085.

New and exciting items inserted into the time capsule represent technology, neuroscience, the environment, Montreal, The Neuro and more. These include winning ideas from Grade 5 and 6 students who participated in a city-wide contest last year to submit their ideas of what to put into the time capsule, to be opened on The Neuro's 150th anniversary. Education, Sport and Leisure Minister Michelle Courchesne and hundreds of Montreal area students were part of the event, as well as the Canadian Grenadier Guards who escorted the capsule to its new home in The Neuro's cornerstone.

"With this time capsule, we wanted to inspire the next generation to think about the future -- their careers, to ponder advancements in technology, improvements in healthcare, and importantly a proactive preservation of the health of our planet." said Dr. David Colman, Director of The Neuro.
