they are WILD animals and will act instinctively like any animal will do. they will get spooked and run, it may look like they are charging you but in fact they have such poor eyesight that they do not see you

Just about bumped into a pack of them tonight while I was walking into a wash... Not sure how many there were, but I saw a few. One of them was huge.They got startled and grunted at me, but didn't run away. Needless to say, I had to take a detour...

one got stuck in my yard one time in tucson, it strayed from its family, it was only a cub. and i raised it on milk, kept it on a leesh and later began feeding it taco bell and other dog food, it enjoyed it and became a healthy adult and i let it back into the wild
