Fungai Mutezo, one of the winners of Young Brits at Art 2009, speaks about his self-portrait, Lost in Thought. Originally from Zimbabwe, Fungai has moved with his family to Glasgow (Scotland, UK) where after a period of time he began to experience homesickness. Taking part in the competition organised by the Equality and Human Rights Commission has helped to discover Fungai's artistic talent.

Now in its second year, Young Brits at Art 2010 invites young people aged 11 to 19 to submit the artwork expressing their vision of the world without prejudice. The types of artwork this year include not only painting and digital art, but sculpture and animation, and school and youth workers are encouraged to work with teenagers to produce and submit artworks. The deadline for submissions is 24 March 2010.
