Is the "main effects" the same as the "interaction effects" ?

Statmaster C is the greatest!!
but tasks like this can be solved much easier by using the syntax mode.

No, they are not the same thing but they are serioulsy related. The main effects are the effects of each individual IV only and they do not take into account of the possible INTERACTION of the IVs... mgz
