This video features the performance of Aaron Noe, Trumpet Instructor at the University of Mary Washington (Fredericksburg, VA, www.umw.edu) and Director of Bands at King George High School (King George, VA). Aaron Noe is a gigging jazz trumpet player who has performed with James Moody, Freddie Cole, the Jimmy Dorsey Big Band, and the Okayssions. He can also be heard on Keith Wesby's CDs "Once and Again" and "Before Dawn". Aaron Noe holds degrees from Greensboro College (BS, Music Education) and Virginia Commonwealth University (MM, Music Education, jazz emphasis). Aaron Noe has studied trumpet and jazz with Rex Richardson, Roger Pemberton, Bert Ligon, Keith Amstutz, Anita Cirba, and Neil Clegg. Aaron Noe is a member of the International Trumpet Guild (ITG), the Music Educators National Conference (MENC) and the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA).

  • for concert band on upright bass and i didnt know crap about the instrument much less bass cleff and also somehow he got the notion that i said "master" the upright bass in a week and since then everyone would crack jokes about it, its something ive never lived down and when we go on tour hopefully within a year this man is getting recogniton also thats where i got meh user name (bass boy was a nick name of mine in concert and beginning band over that misunderstanding) lol good times..good times

  • i know this guy, i studied bass clef and upright bass in his class. good times wed get into germ x fights and everything. good fun and he gets what needs to get done done too, it was awkward when i was learning about the humble french bow and its a long story that im not getting into but it was an honor to be in his beginning band class i learned stuff i wouldnt even fathom on meh own, scales ect he has a sense of humor too, i told him i could get whatever i needed to learn down in a week.....

  • cool! saw it on the front of the youtube site thingy! hopefully i can find some decent bandmembers and you should think about playing at pickers supply open mic night in downtown, your brother in Christ (yes im a christian now) jim michie....... no i havent mastered upright bass but all of you guys in concert band and begining band are tattooed on my mind and heart God bless brother and thanks for the music lessons in bass clef and all the other memorys!
