Again from the "Selectissima Carmina" for renaissance guitar, which Pierre Phalèse published in 1570. Not a perfect rendition, but that wasn't the goal. Currently I'm more concerned with making a recording under the same conditions with every instrument I own. And with building up enough self-confidence to record my music without suffering a heart attack because the red light goes on.

;-)

The instrument is a Rozini Paulistinha cavaquinho. It is a REALLY small Brazilian cavaquinho, obviously not built to play polyphonic music on it. It sounds best playing a single line. But you can hear such music elsewhere and I wanted to do something you WON'T hear on a cavaquinho elsewhere.
It has a nice sound when picked with fingertips. But unfortunately not a very LOUD sound, so I had to pick real hard in order to get it recorded with my webcam. Perhaps I will upload something else later, once I know how to record the sound separately with a good microphone.

  • Dear crazy, wonderful, marvellous (and brave!) Jyottix!

My head? In the Salome-and-John-the Baptist kind of way? I would have been more careful in Sint-Niklaas, if I'd known you're into such things...

    Liebe Grüße, Andreas.
