Black Diamond Mines!

The Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve is located in Antioch, CA at the end of Somersville Road. Over a hundred years ago, a few towns existed in the area that lived off the coal being mined in that region. All that's left today are the mines, and a Cemetery. Some of the mines are open for guided tours. The visitor center is located in an underground chamber, where it was easily 20 degrees cooler than outside! If you're in the East Bay, a trip is highly recomended by moi. Plus, I found the cleanest pit toilets I have ever seen (or smelled) in my life.

I visited that place today! Being at the cemetery was amazingly awesome. There was a 24 hour surveillance sign there. I found that odd. Anyways cool vid ;)

Sarah Norton was a Nurse that delivered children and helped take care of a lot of them. the children started dying because of a sickness and she couldn't do anything about it. one day when she went to deliver a baby the carriage she was in flipped and killed her. not her ghost watches the land for children in need of help. she was called "the white witch" because she wasn't religious but helped people and not being religious was crazy back then.

thats cool the rose hill cemetery is home to a nasty ghost called the "white witch" i cant confirm this but she is said to eternally haunt the dreams of girls with black hair who visit the cemetery. anyways thanks for the footage i couldnt find the mines anywhere else on youtube!
