i think it was fear. when the situation with Coakley went south, he thought he could use himself as a face of people to stop this problem. he wouldnt have gone to Ma. unless there was a very good reason for HIM and the democrats.

It is funny that you say that, how ironic life is. My teachers were fairly liberal and would always bash the Bush administration. "Your generation is soo lazy, you do nothing against all the crap this administration is doing!" Now my generation is fighting and protesting, but this time AGAINST the Liberal administration, not the old conservative one. Haha, who would have really thought.

I don't think so, Democrats are going to have to be careful now. This is a huge blow, a Republican won in a prominently Democratic state against a well known Democratic candidate, WITH the once loved Democratic president endorsing her... This really tears down that arrogance, and makes the message clear. If they do not change the route they have been going, they will not get re-elected. Some of them probably won't even get re-elected if they do make changes. Obama is doomed to be a Lame Duck
