Listen to this song when I went to school in PNI 1993-94. the whole dorm played it everyday.. miss those days n love this song along w/ Kosraen song "Kom fen som" 2 od fav songs

I'm with you too greenteababy19,parents should speak the language when they are together with their kids. Its very hard on the kids when reach teens and can't speak their language(identity time).Anyway, how did you learn pohnpeian when your parents are not even mein pohnpei?

i find it so sad that so many pohnpeians who are in the US CHOOSE not to practice their native tongue. too americanized, i say. Both my parents are not Pohnpeians, yet we all speak Pohnpeian. LOL... and i'm hell proud of that :)

A few times my sons n i jammed this beautiful song on 2 acoustic guitars n an 8-string uke. One son sings it--perhaps wings it cause we don't understand the lyrics, but we ENJOY it. We, Chamorros, hear you Pohnpei!!
