Hi Guys.. Just wanted to say thank you for the footage of Colton. I have been ill of late, and, being here in AUSTRALIA I only get over to the States 3 months of the year, every 2nd year.. Your vision keeps my morale up.. Then its off to model railroad room for rail fanning ... PS how many SP units are still in scarlet and grey at Colton? John Being a broadcast camera operator my self perhaps we do some nice shots next time I am Stateside vikingwarrior1@hotmail.com

Nowadays its so stupid. I got put in a COP car just by sitting in my suburban and taking pictures of the Engines. Almost got arrested cuz the police dont have a clue what a railfanning is and thought I was being suspecious of something. Cant go nowhere without getting harrased. I miss the 80's so much.

You can see the BNSF "patch" below the engine number on the cab for both the Yellowbonnet and the BN units. But I wish it was an old shot for nostalgia's sake.

When my camera zooms out, you can see how far I'm standing from either tracks. Maybe that's why the hoggers didn't call in the railroad police on me.

Depends on the situation and the temperament of the authorities who show up. In most cases, they just tell you to leave.
