Two Russian bombers have arrived in Venezuela for training exercises. The aircraft were accompanied by NATO fighters on their way to the country, according to Russia's Defence Ministry.

The bombers are due to conduct training flights in Venezuela and return to Russia afterwards.

Personally speaking, the fact that the bombers were 'accompanied' shows the level of distrust that NATO has against Russia. The Russian bombers were escorted. I do wonder who escorts the US Bombers when they fly. Will the US allow to have Russian escorts?

The US Secretary of State spokeman Sean McCormack has stated that the US pretends to follow very closely those exercises.

The US has betrayed itself, Russia & the World.

When the Soviet Union Collapsed there were several agreements that the United States and the European Union should have followed. But that was not the case, they have chosen to execute that wise spanish proverb which states: "Out of the fallen tree everybody makes logs or takes cuttings"

So, the EU started to expand too fast. However, Russia never minded that part too much, but they did mind NATO. The expansion of NATO is a very dangerous decision, because it awakes suspicion and lack of trust.

NATO expansion was executed and still despite the agreements reached in the past. James Baker former US Secretary of State pledged that NATO was not to be expanded to the East if the Soviet Union agreed to unify Germany and accepted the 'new Germany' within the alliance. That was a promise that the United States did to the WORLD.

Saakashvili's action was supported by the US and some members of the European Union.

@HJMC3345 i agree with you there is a big gap when it comes to experience in the air and tactics , so many times we concentrate in the plane and not the pilot . The us have been training constantly and have tactical advantage but their planes are becoming old and to the point they are lacking the technical edge.

@fish1597 In general Russian pilots are very good. They have in the past suffered from a lack of training time. A fighting edge is something that needs to be constantly honed to be sharp. I'm not as sure about countries were planes are delivered and the pilots that fly them. This was the issue in the desert conflicts and even in Korea. There was no practical difference between the F86 and the Mig 15, except in the experience of the pilots.
