Also was one of the finest harmonica players..as noted on the ''Smokin"''track '"Ï Wonder"'. I wore out two copies of that LP in 1972.
Jagger was deadly scared of this man when he auditioned for The Stones. Steve just took over the whole band like a fire ball.
The era for TRUE musical talent like this is far behind us.

Wow, he sounds fantastically souful here...what a guitar player he was.
I recall seeing the band around 1972 when i lived in London.

My favourite musician and vocalist... miss him !!!

STEVE was Rock & Roll, or at least what it should be. Let his legacy inspire millions on how it should be done. R.I.P Steve and bless you!

I've been listening to Steve Marriott for many years and every time I hear his voice the hairs on the back of my neck stand up without fail, his voice is that good! He is the best in my opinion and that was no mean feat what with the likes of Robert Plant and Paul Rogers out there doing their thing. Steve Marriott deserves more credit and recognition for his acheivements and his great talent! R.I.P.

Phenomenal talent...all that came after him were merely copy cats in my Humble opinion. Saw Humble Pie three glorious times and it was truly a privilege to be in the presence of such REAL talent. PERFECTION.
