Ayrton virtually won 2 other monaco races, this one and the 88 gp if it wasn't for a slowpuncher that caused the crash. And just for the record this was the first kick on the but for Ayrton by that s.o.b. french Balestre that continued nis campaign till the 89 championship,always tring to favour his compatriot prost. You will always be the prince of monaco Ayrton 6/10 in just 10 years!!! And 65 poles in just 10 years !!! Eat that schumi!!!
We miss you AYRTON!!!!!!!!!! :(

Prost didn't care about one specific race, as he said here. He calculated each race, and allowed people to pass him in order to avoid risking his points. Senna wanted to win each and every race no matter what, risking a bit more than anyone. Prost had a calculator on his hands. Senna had his heart on his hands. Jesus bless you!

The beginning of Prost's scare to Senna.

Rainmaster Bellof !

@Hondas337 Prost a pussy? He was ahead by 30 seconds at one point! Did you see his pass on Ayrton in Estoril 1988 after Senna shoved him towards the pit wall at 180 mph? Prost is hardly a pussy.
Prost surprise to win? He doesn't merit this win.

@touzeau3333 Je suis du même avis, c'était l'ère "
Jean-Marie Balestre et l'époque ou il y avait beaucoup de Pilotes Français qu'il fallait "favoriser" ...Patriotisme ? Chauvinisme ?
puis l'histoire se répètera en 89 et 90 notamment.

If you look only the speed of the cars you can see Beloff and Senna where the quickest. Beloff had no Turbo. He had problem on straight road to passing the other cars and he was also to much time behind cars. But the advantage of having no turbo was no turbolag at the end of the curves. You can see the action before tunnel. So its hard to say. Mansell and De Angelis also not bad. And Prost and Lauda? They had break problems? Ok! The other drivers had no chance.
