My last beautiful dog came from a shelter where he had been abandoned by his owners. He was 2.5 years old and had some "issues," but after proper training became my best friend and the love of my life. He travelled through Canada and the US with me, during a move to another province and was welcome everywhere. He passed away from old age at 17 (old for a big dog!) but he was greatly loved and adored and made my life all the better for him being in it. Shelter dogs rock!

Very good cause. Shout out to curler Kevin Martin and his team for once again promoting Pedigree For The Cause. They were recently in Whitby, Ontario at are New Durham Region Humane Society visiting some of the animals waiting for their new Forever Home and also checking out the new shelter, which was not finished when they were here last year. Good job!

I just finished watching Hotel For Dogs, I cried my eyes out ... now im sitting here thinking what the world would be if we ACTUALLY had a hotel for dogs. Of course no one would do that, our human race has changed. We leave dogs out there to suffer and to have no one to love. :\
