The thing is they use a plastic cap on there pump bottles.I notified them and sent the bottles back but have had no response as yet.

@mrouterrim I would guess it is different plastic used to contain the stuff vs the plastic it might react with. Like say the plastic parts of a video camera as in our case.

I too have discovered that Deet melts plastic. I used to pack a small radio with me and got some deet from my hands on it. It got the plastic sticky and then got worse. I finally had to throw it away. Thanks for the tip on the bug suite. In my area, all we need is a head net, but I have been places where the bugs really are irritating. Thanks for the tips and just don't try petting that little guy. LOL
