This video is an example of obedience to odor, where the odor takes over the canine's motor skills so he is driven by his sense of smell and ignores his visual and auditory senses.

  • I would not recommend the use of a flat-sided box. The barrels can quickly be transferred to the rubble and are also stabilized easily on the rubble. Any "container" you use must share these traits (along with fitting other method-specific criteria such as completely containing the odor aside from the door opening, ability to use the teaser/distraction ball and must be able to comfortably hold a person in a position where they can easily reward the dog).

  • Could you use boxes instead of bark barrels? I have seen pumpkin boxes in the grocery stores that might work and would be easier to transport.
