The man was focused on the song, hair be damned. Some parts were incredibly moving, I wish to learn to play now, but I not so good on top of piano seat playing with the piano keys.
@loyalistish This video comes from tudou.com (Chinese YT). From there the description says that this is Yundi Li's recital in 2010 at Hang Zhou, capital of the Zhenjiang province, China, in commemoration of Chopin's 200th anniversary. You can go to the site and search with “李云迪 动听968音乐调频年度巨献"
Belle intensité dramatique dans cette interprétation de la Marche Funèbre (Sonate N°2) de Chopin ! Merci à Kiesworld86 pour cette vidéo de Yundi Li, l'un de mes pianistes favoris...
Yundi has an earler version of Funderal March on Youtube- seemed to be playing before an interview in a library in a chinese city. anyways, I thought that was a good version but this one here is far more superior. His looks as he played out this music definitely added to the sombre, grave and intense feelings of this piece- but thank God for the beautiful and heavenly interlude in the midst - just gorgeous. thanks for posting . Does anyone know where Yundi was performing here?
Yundi Li, the artist. Lang Lang, the clown.
