Kathleen Battle's version is good and this version, Lucia Popp has clear words in German Language, I can hear what she said in this song, love them, Battle and Popp ^^

Best recording I've found! She's so precise and stylistically perfect! I'm working on this aria, so I'll definitely be listening to this version quite a bit.

Lucia was one of the great Mozart stylists, in addition to having a lovely soprano. Battle has a lovely voice, no question, but not quite as solid in her sound production or her phrasing as Popp.

You should hear the rest of the opera- esp ich gehe doch rate ich dir, the duet with Osmin- she is adorable and talk about crisp- I dont know how she spits the words out so quick. Its with Anneliese Rottenmeyer as Konstanze. Popp is the cutest Blonde ever and a superb actress, and fiesty too with Osmin. I wish someone would post that duet.
