  • Lol, when Marie and her nephew kiss, I like how Walsingham is just like >_>. Great actor Geoffrey is, he plays this type of character very well. He plays any character well!

  • @Bethster7

    Totally agree with you !

Geoffrey is one of the greatest and talented actor... unfortunatly underused. :(

  • Walsingham was one of the most dangerous men of his century, but I don't think he assassinated a queen; although for Elizabeth he did many things.

  • MMmmh ! Me likes dangerous men ! ;)

Naaah seriously, I think you're right !... He assassinated a lot of people who threatened his queen... but certainly not a queen...

Shekhar Kapur took some freedoms about the reality for this film... but we won't complain about this ! ;)

  • SUCH A BEAST

  • *swoon* geoffrey rush is just tooooooooooooo hot in this film!!

  • @RUSHIELOVE Oui! J'adore Geoffrey Rush dans ce film! Je pense il est tres attractif comme Walsingham!

  • That's the awesome thing abot Walsingham...we don't know WHO'S death he's responsable for! Does anyone know what Mary is saying to her nephew?

  • @Rennikus You're confusing her with he daughter who was Mary of Scots.

  • I like the way she plays with the knife. It's almost sexual.

  • @Rennikus He is beyond Bond. He is sinisterely cool. Best character from the period, indeed one of my faviroute in English history. Of course Cecil is pretty decent, being a lad and all that, but Walsingham, though made slightly ott on historical fact here, for me is more interesting than even the mighty E herself.

  • He didn't assassinate Mary de Guise per se, but it was he who was responsible for gathering incriminating evidence on her whilst she was under house arrest in England, and was then executed by Elizabeth.

That said, he's certainly cool enough to kill just about anybody, the James Bond of the Tudor period.
