A new anti-trafficking law has been passed in Cambodia. It defines all sex work as trafficking and makes all sex work illegal. Thousands of women are now out of work as police close down brothels and crack down on street workers.
Sex workers also report shocking abuse at the hands of police and the organisations who are supposed to "rescue and rehabilitate" them.
Fuck feminism!

I guess it's better that these women work in garment sewing sweat-shops for $3 a day making garments for The Gap and Tommy Hilfigger ! That's the REAL reason AMERICAN Evangelists and NGO's pressure the Cambodian Gov to Crack Down on voluntary, adult free-lance sex-workers. You think they would give a shit otherwise?

Maybe those religious nut cases should actually help people there, and quit trying to convert them to Christians.

I think prostitution demoralizes society and country. Also, it is the means by which deadly diseases (e.g., AIDS, Hepatitis ) are being spread from person to person.

for the right of sex workers to earn a living as allowed under Cambodian Constitution and for police and others to stop raping and abusing them and to pretend that they are rescuing them

I am not clear on the message you are disseminating here. Are you advocating for the right of the prostitutes to continue to work?
